The revered Thadingyut also known as the lighting festival will soon be upon us. This year the landmark full moon falls on the 13th October. Traditionally, this is the time when the young folk pay respect to their elders by presenting them with gifts.
For those who have not enjoyed the festivities in Bago, you might consider a change of scenery and venture out to this once ancient capital, with its vibrant traditions. Visit the beautiful serene Shwemawdaw Pagoda where worshippers will light a thousand candles in honour of the full moon day when Buddha descended from heaven.
After spending time at the lively, buzzing atmosphere of the Pagoda with its many pilgrims; and wondering around the number of stalls, selling a variety of colourful goods, you might want to retreat to a calmer, more peaceful and relaxed environment of Han Thar Gardens. Come to unwind and delight in the delicious freshly cooked organic dishes we offer, while sipping a fresh fruit juice or a tasty cocktail. We will endeavour to make your visit a most comfortable and pleasant experience. You can stop over for a night or just take enough time to re-energise before you continue on your way.
Please understand that we can only accept a limited number of guests at one time.
So please call us on 09428 177217 or 09421 755282 for a reservation.
We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our Han Thar Gardens.
